Karly
Hello my name is Karli and I teach High Fitness at Gotta Dance. I used to dance competitively from 3 years old to 18. I have always loved being physical. Growing up I participated in every sport that I could. I considered the car my changing room and I went from one thing to the next. In high school I had to choose so I played tennis, basketball, and golf. Tennis is definitely my favorite sport and I continued to coach at Jordan high after I graduated and went to nationals in Palm Springs, which was so fun. I graduated from UVU in accounting. I love being outdoors and being active. My husband and I love to camp, fish, hunt, hike, ride, and really anything where we get to be in the outdoors. When I went to my first High Fitness class I fell in love. It was a workout where you could do so many jumps, squats, and burpees without even noticing because you are having so much fun. I am definitely one that feeds off the crowd. I get so much energy off working out with others and I just love group fitness. Gotta Dance is truly like no other place. Everyone is so supportive. When I first came I couldn’t believe how many people came up to ask me if I was new and wanted to know more about me. I love the support system that comes with Gotta Dance; it is where friends are made. I feel so lucky to get to teach at a place like Gotta Dance.
Brendi
My name is Brendi Terry and I love being a part of the Gotta Dance family!! I have lived in Utah all my life and absolutely love everything about living here. I have always had a passion for exercise and fitness. From the time I was young, I loved doing gymnastics, dance, running around with my siblings, hiking with my family, biking, waterskiing and wakeboarding, snow skiing and snowboarding, and just being active!
I got my Bachelor’s degree from BYU in Exercise Science and absolutely LOVED studying the human body and how amazing it is! After graduating I certified as a Health Fitness Instructor through ACSM and worked in a women’s gym for a year, then started doing private personal training and did that for 12 years. I have taught group fitness classes for 3 years now and love it so much. I teach Total Body Conditioning/Strength Training (TBC) classes and am also certified in Barre fitness. I love exercise and fitness so much because it helps me feel empowered, productive, confident, healthy, and - most of all - SO HAPPY!!
I have been married to my husband for 15 years and we have 5 kids. I love being a mom and my family is my everything!! I continue to love doing active things with my family and cheering on my kids in sports and other activities. I teach gymnastics one day a week and occasionally still tumble. I also love running and have done several marathons and half marathons. Some of my favorites are Mexican food, dark chocolate, and bright colors! I also love doing photography and playing piano in my spare time. I love Gotta Dance so much - the feeling of love and support and inclusion is unlike any other place!! Everyone is so friendly and kind and genuine! I am so grateful I get to teach and take classes here!
